It has just been announced that Thai solar rooftop company SCG Solar Roof Solutions is partnering with US energy service provider Enphase Energy in a bid to power microinverter technology to become the first provider of solar systems in Thailand’s residential market.
According to SCG’s chief of housing products business, the solar rooftop market has grown dramatically in Thailand, especially in the industrial sector, where there is a focus on cost reduction. Meanwhile, the household sector has seen solar projects become affordable.
By cooperating with Enphase Energy, SCG seeks to create solutions that power microinverter technology driven by intelligent software, becoming a one-stop service for the residential solar market in Thailand. Enphase’s microinverters have a complete AC solar solution that does not use high-voltage DC and with rapid shutdown as standard. The company’s microinverter technology, a single panel solar control system, is considered the most cost-effective system. In addition, users can monitor and manage power-generating efficiency e in real-time from the SCG Solar Roof Solutions Application.
