The Medical City (TMC) is pioneering the adoption of AI in the Philippines by integrating Lunit’s AI solutions into its mammography and chest X-ray services, significantly enhancing diagnostic accuracy and efficiency.
Lunit, a South Korean company specializing in AI for medical imaging, provides Insight CXR, a system with 97%-99% accuracy in detecting abnormal radiologic findings. Using this technology, TMC has improved finalization rates from 98% to 99.8% and increased sensor use for imaging services by 40%.
Future plans include expanding AI applications to 2D echocardiography and laboratory results, as well as utilizing digital twins for disease research. Despite challenges in obtaining region-specific data, TMC aims to provide more personalized treatments based on precise patient data. This collaboration marks a significant step in transforming Philippine healthcare through sophisticated, data-driven medical solutions.
