Singapore’s CAI to Manage Vietnam’s Cam Ranh International Airport

Mar 2024

Singapore’s Changi Airports International (CAI) has entered into a partnership with Cam Ranh International Joint Stock Company (CRTC) to manage Terminal 2 of Cam Ranh International Airport, aiming at improving non-aeronautical businesses and developing international routes.

This collaboration, announced during the Singapore Airshow, significantly enhances Vietnam’s aviation sector. Under this agreement, CAI will oversee the management of non-aeronautical operations at Terminal 2, contributing to its international route expansion efforts.

The partnership, the first of its kind under a cooperation framework between CAI and Legacy Infrastructure (Legacy), combines CAI’s global airport management expertise with Legacy’s regional resources. The objective is to introduce innovative solutions to enhance connectivity, efficiency, and competitiveness within Vietnam’s aviation industry.

Cam Ranh International Airport (CXR), located in Nha Trang City, is Vietnam’s fourth busiest international airport. Over the next five years, CAI and CRTC will focus on boosting revenue growth and improving passenger experiences at Terminal 2, with the possibility of extending the contract for an additional five years.

CRTC-owned Terminal 2 collaborates with over 30 airlines and serves more than 100 destinations worldwide. This partnership aims to strengthen connectivity with major airports globally, attract more international partners, and enhance CRTC’s competitiveness.
