Korean fried chicken brand BHC is set to enter the Indonesian market in early 2025, marking its debut in the country. Dining Brands Group, the company behind BHC, confirmed the expansion following a master license agreement with Nachindo, an established Indonesian F&B and hospitality business.
While the exact location has yet to be finalized, Lippo Mall Puri in West Jakarta is a likely candidate for the first outlet, according to a representative from Dining Brands Group.
Nachindo, which also manages Holland Bakery and the luxury Golden Tulip Holland Resort, was chosen for its strong local market expertise and financial stability. Dining Brands Group noted that Nachindo’s deep understanding of the Indonesian market and strategic prowess made it a perfect partner for BHC’s regional expansion.
BHC will adapt its menu to local preferences, offering Korean-flavored chicken dishes designed to complement rice, a staple in Indonesian cuisine. Additionally, BHC plans to collaborate with popular food delivery services, tapping into Indonesia’s dynamic online ordering culture.
To meet the needs of the Muslim-majority population, BHC has obtained halal certification. The brand aims to leverage the widespread popularity of Korean culture in Indonesia through targeted marketing campaigns.
Currently operating in seven countries, BHC’s international presence includes 27 outlets, with its latest branch opening in Taiwan last November.
