Growhub, a Singapore-based one-stop farm-to-table solution for food traceability and data analysis, has signed a five-year lease with Food Innovation Precinct Western Australia (FIPWA) on May 20, 2022 to establish Western Australia’s first food product. An innovation center that creates a corridor between the two countries for agricultural innovation, research and commercialization of new value-added foods.
This is a unique effort, with nothing similar in either Singapore or Australia. Both parties stated that the alliance will also enable Australian and global entrepreneurs, food companies, and agri-enterprises to cost-effectively network, research, develop, and market test new value-added food products derived from Western Australia’s primary produce, and develop new blockchain technologies to enhance food traceability.
The center’s construction is expected to finish by July.
