German company Röhlig Logistics has inaugurated a new state-of-the-art warehouse in Thailand, strategically located within a Free Trade Zone near Laem Chabang Port. This 16,000 square meter facility marks a significant step in the company’s expansion across Southeast Asia, following the opening of a larger warehouse in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, two years prior. Designed to enhance logistics services for a leading electrical goods manufacturer, the new warehouse will support the distribution of spare parts to over 20 countries. The facility features high ceilings, multiple loading docks, and advanced safety measures, making it ideal for handling sensitive electrical products.
The new warehouse is equipped with a sophisticated Warehouse Management System (WMS) from Infor, which utilizes automation and analytics to optimize operations and minimize errors. This system allows Röhlig Logistics to efficiently manage high order volumes and ensure accurate inventory control. The facility can accommodate up to 71,000 order lines per year and has provisions for future scalability, with the potential to expand by an additional 5,000 square meters. Röhlig’s commitment to innovative logistics solutions is further demonstrated through its comprehensive range of services, including sorting, packing, and inventory management tailored to meet customer needs. With this new facility operational, Röhlig Logistics is well-positioned to enhance its service offerings in Thailand while supporting the growing demands of customers in the region. The investment reflects Röhlig’s dedication to providing reliable logistics solutions and strengthening its presence in Southeast Asia’s competitive market landscape.
