Dutch company Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC) and Polish specialist Instanta Sp. z o.o. (Instanta) have officially launched ILD Coffee Vietnam, a freeze-dried instant coffee production facility situated in Binh Duong province, Vietnam. This venture boasts an annual output capacity of 5,600 metric tons of high-quality freeze-dried instant coffee, strategically positioned to cater to the surging global demand for premium instant coffee, particularly in established markets like Europe and the burgeoning markets of Asia.
The inauguration of this facility is part of LDC’s broader global strategy, seeking to expand its portfolio with value-added products while emphasizing its commitment to the Vietnamese market. Ben Clarkson, LDC’s Global Head of Coffee, underlined the importance of this joint venture, combining LDC’s expertise in coffee sourcing and their extensive global network with Instanta’s leadership in the instant coffee industry.
ILD Coffee Vietnam stands as a significant milestone for Instanta. This facility is equipped with the latest extraction and freeze-drying technologies, prioritizing safety with certifications like FSSC 22000 and SMETA audits. Furthermore, it aligns with the companies’ commitment to sustainable coffee production and distribution, incorporating environmentally friendly equipment such as a biomass boiler that utilizes spent coffee grounds to generate steam.
The inauguration ceremony witnessed the presence of senior management from LDC and Instanta, local government officials, and representatives from the Polish Embassy in Hanoi and local coffee associations.
